Breakfast bars are all the rage, for giant family kitchens to small apartments. We pick some of our recent favourites from our Pinterest Page.
Conversation Starter
This breakfast bar works so well. As a room divider from the living area but also as a great place to perch while chatting with the busy chef or over a cup of mid-morning coffee.
The bookshelves at the end are a nice touch. The ideal place to tuck away the cookbooks or even some mason jars.
Good use of a small space
This smart idea for a tiny apartment came from the owner’s local cafe.
A simple IKEA shelf and brackets across the window plus some bright stools creates a great spot to have a cup of tea and a piece of toast while watching the early morning world go by…
Even a renter could get away with the couple of screw holes this needs to put up.
Wheely Bar
This next one is equally simple to assemble but so practical. Bit of scaffolding and a wood worktop offcut from IKEA creates this moveable breakfast bar.
Have it facing the kitchen when your friends are round, or push it up against the window for breakfast with a view.
You can even push it out the way when you want more space or stick it in another room.
Bench It
This is unique, something we haven’t seen before. Instead of bar stools, an upholstered bench seat in a stunning striped pattern.
A little heavy to pull in and out perhaps but looks spectacular.
Winning Windows
This one is our favourite by far.
Not only does it feature a beautiful white-speckled marble worktop, shaker cabinets and padded bar stools – it has a fabulous bench seat in the window.
Perfect for a warm cup of coffee in the morning when you’ve not quite ready to face the day.
